Local GSU Alums | Breathing MK LYFE Into Hawks & ABC’s Shark Tank

LYFE Marketing may be the breath of fresh air  you’re looking for in comparison to traditional marketing firms. Developed in 2011 by brothers Sean and Sherman Standberry and close friend Keran Smith, LYFE Marketing is a full-service social media marketing agency. Atlanta-based and overflowing with talent from Georgia State University and other local colleges, the marketing startup has worked with some pretty high profile clients, including the Atlanta Hawks and ABC’s Shark Tank. We were able to catch up with one of the founders and get the scoop on the company, why they’re located in Atlanta, and how they are serving the startup community.

How does ATL weave into your story?
The founders are Georgia State University students and alumni. We strategically moved to Atlanta because of the opportunities available to us. We are able to recruit startup talent from Georgia State and Tech and have access to key networking opportunities. Big players are here in Atlanta and more are on the way. We want to be a part of that future business growth.

In what ways does your creative agency cater to startups?
We have a key understanding of the many stages startups can go through. More traditional marketing companies struggle with keeping up with how rapidly startups can change. One of our biggest value adds is the ability to guide them in what digital marketing trends are working today, from our experience.
