About Startup Semester:
Startup Semester started as a grassroots organization with the initiative to widen the entrepreneurship base among undergraduates. Six teams are selected to spend ten weeks building their ideas into formidable businesses. Web applications, innovative products and services — if it makes for a scalable venture, it goes. The program is based on three key components:
Incubation: dedicating an entire workspace just for teams to work and collaborate. Teams get a community to encourage each other and a place to call home.
Structure: workshops on lean principles, peer teaching, individualized team deliverables, etc. The path to success isn’t easy, but at least you’ll start off with a roadmap.
Mentorship: veteran entrepreneurs, business developers, specialists, etc. excited to meet and help teams along their journeys.
