Former ATV Program Manager Launches New Program for First-Time Tech Founders

Justin McLeod, founder of Surthrive and former Diversity and Inclusion Program Manager at Atlanta Tech Village, recently launched Square One, a new program dedicated to helping first-time tech founders launch and scale their business ideas.

Square One is the first accelerated-incubator fee-based training program to offer both a virtual and in-person learning environment for “too-early-stage” tech startup founders. The program is designed to help pre-product and pre-revenue founders validate and transform their startup ideas into profitable businesses by providing direct access to community, curricula, and coaching.

What makes Square One unique is that founders can learn at their own pace and on their own time by having the option to participate virtually.  Founders can also curate their own curriculum by hand-selecting the classes they need the most. The goal of the 10-week hybrid program is to help participants validate their business model and grow through profitability.  Participants will also have direct access to key influencers in the startup ecosystem. Square One does not take equity in participating startups.

Upon completion of the program, graduates will have the knowledge and network to successfully scale in the most equity-efficient way possible.

Square One has curated a group of accelerator directors, angel investors, venture capitalists, developers, marketers, and startup founders to join the team to help train the next generation of profitable technology startup founders.

Notable names include Myavana co-founder and CEO Candace Mitchell Harris, Tyrannosaurus Tech co-founder and COO Carlos Gonzalez, and Polar Notion co-founder and CEO Morgan Lopes.

The deadline to apply for the inaugural 2020 cohort is Sunday, February 16. Founders, apply here!
