Forge is hosting the first Healthcare Hackathon in Atlanta on 8/22 – 8/24 at ATDC. 100 Clinicians, engineers, business professionals, and students have 34 consecutive hours to build software and hardware solutions to real problems in healthcare. Hackers will have access to 3D printers, machine shops, software resources, and clinical & business mentors.
Participate: Open to everyone. Students of any major or level, clinicians, engineers, business / legal folks, and designers. Go solo or bring friends, they will help you form interdisciplinary teams. The application closes on August 8th.
Be a Mentor: Donate 2 hours of your time on August 23rd 2014 to be on Georgia Tech campus and give critical input to teams.
The Prizes:
- Grand prize: $5,000 cash, free patent filing, and investor meetings.
- Runner-up: $1,000 cash and office hours with VentureLab.
- Crowd favorites prize
Cost: $75. All attendees get a 10% discount for patent filings with IP SmartUp, and free API support from Validic.
