Leadership Breakfast: Michael Render (aka Killer Mike), February 6
Michael Render, better known by his stage name Killer Mike, is an Atlanta icon and the ultimate ‘hyphenate’ – Rapper, Actor, Activist and Entrepreneur, among other activities. He made his rapping debut on Outkast’s fourth album in 2000 and released his debut studio album Monster in 2003. His recent album Michael won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album in 2024. Hand in hand with his music and entertainment pursuits, Michael has been a social and political activist, focusing on social equality, police brutality and systemic racism – themes also reflected in his music and in his socially-conscious entrepreneurial ventures. On the latter front, Michael opened his first Graffitis SWAG Barbershop in 2011 and co-founded Greenwood Bank, an online bank serving Black and Latin communities, in 2020. RSVP here.
