Comcast NBCUniversal’s The Farm Accelerator Opens Applications for Inaugural Cohort

The Farm, the Atlanta-based startup accelerator backed by global media company Comcast NBCUniversal and directed by startup program Boomtown, has opened applications for its first 12-week program, kicking off March 2018. The Farm’s highly competitive application process is open to all companies, with a strong emphasis placed on startups in the mobility, connectivity and communications space. Each startup must have at least two founders, and all teams are required to be physically present in Atlanta for the duration of the program.

The Farm is located inside the new Comcast Central Division headquarters at The Battery, the development that includes SunTrust Park, home of the Atlanta Braves, and 200+ retail shops, restaurants, a hotel, entertainment venue and residential units.

Boomtown, currently in its ninth cohort, is an “entrepreneur-first” program that has invested in more than 75 companies in three years. Of those, 85 percent are in operation and 88 percent are generating revenue. The Farm is part of Comcast NBCUniversal’s LIFT Labs for Entrepreneurs program, which stands for “Leveraging Innovation for Tomorrow”.
