The Atlanta BridgeCommunity Announces 2nd Annual Corporate Innovation Summit

Corporate innovation

In partnership with the Metro Atlanta Chamber, the Atlanta BridgeCommunity is hosting its 2nd annual Atlanta Corporate Innovation Summit on October 18. Last year’s Summit saw companies including Coca-Cola, Porsche North America, SunTrust Bank, Capgemini, Cox Enterprises and MailChimp share best practices on how they work with startups, how they explore innovation internally and more.

The Atlanta BridgeCommunity is a collaborative and exclusive global platform that not only has first advantage to strong technology startups, but also the opportunity to build business partnerships.

A morning of case studies and tactics

Conference attendees will spend the morning listening to case studies and pilot outcomes with corporate innovation leaders from some of the biggest companies in Atlanta. Attendees will explore the current innovation landscape and learn best practices through panels and workshops.  The morning will also include a fireside chat with Marc Gorlin, Founder of Roadie.  Marc has been a successful entrepreneur in Atlanta for almost 20 years. Marc founded Roadie in 2014 as the first on-the-way delivery service that puts unused capacity in passenger vehicles to work by connecting people with items to send with drivers heading in the right direction. Before starting Roadie, Marc co-founded and was Chairman of Kabbage Inc., which provides working capital to small and medium-sized businesses.

An afternoon of 1:1 connections to develop partnerships

After lunch, corporate partners will meet with a group of heavily-vetted startups from the top accelerators and startup hubs in Atlanta, for 30-minute curated matchmaking meetings to explore potential revenue relationships (talk money to me, baby).

There will also be an on-site Startup Alley, where corporations and venture capitalists can informally meet with BridgeCommunity startups at showcase tables.
