Atlanta Community Food Bank to Observe Hunger Action Month with ‘Tech Cares Tech Shares’ Competition

Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB) is taking a stand against hunger but needs your help!

Did you know, that one in four children are at risk of going hungry in Georgia? And one in eight people, in Metro Atlanta, is food insecure? Since the COVID-19 crisis hit, ACFB has seen a 40% increase in requests from people seeking emergency food assistance.

In order to meet this increasing need, ACFB has launched a fundraising competition, Tech Cares Tech Shares, to rally tech companies and IT departments to provide more meals to families in need.

Hunger Action Month

In recognition of Hunger Action Month in September, the two-week competition will run from September 13-24.

The competition is coming at a time when so many families are still struggling from the effects of the pandemic so your support is vital.

Prizes…….and Bragging Rights

The goal of the competition is to raise $25,000 – enough for 100,000 meals — so bring your best competitors.

The company that raises the most funds, and the company that raises the most funds per employee, will be awarded
the coveted “Tech Cares Tech Shares Cup” ????. There will also be opportunities for prizes in other categories.
