Help redefine the experience of attending a baseball game in Atlanta
The Atlanta Braves are looking for fresh ideas and potential partners to develop innovative solutions for the new SunTrust Park and the Battery Atlanta. SunTrust Park and the Battery Atlanta already boast the fastest connectivity of any sports stadium in the country (whaaat), so taking advantage of that connectivity is of high-interest for the Braves to build a digital-first experience.
To take advantage of Atlanta’s top tech talent, they’ve partnered with the Atlanta Tech Village (ATV).
“The partnership between Atlanta Tech Village and the Braves kicked off last year and it was the first collaboration of its kind between an Atlanta sports team and our thriving tech ecosystem,” says ATV Director Karen Houghton. “Last year’s Hackathon was a huge success with teams pitching directly to Braves Chairman and CEO, Terry McGuirk. Winners received cash prizes and were granted additional meetings to discuss implementation into the new SunTrust stadium”.

Why the Braves need you
Help create the ultimate guest experience, which will be paramount for positively shaping each and every fan’s visit to SunTrust Park and the Battery Atlanta. The new fan experience will center around digital and mobile interaction between consumers and vendors, from both a consumer-facing and back-end experience.
“Our hope is that our partnership with the Braves will be a community driver that will continue to connect not only our city’s startups, but also create further connections between startups and large, classic Atlanta brands like the Braves in a really fun and tangible way,” says Houghton.
Solutions should accomplish three objectives:
- Provide value for the fan
- Have a direct or indirect mobile relationship
- Create revenue opportunities via increased ticket sales or partnership opportunities
