AITP Atlanta’s 1st Annual Developer Forum

AITP Atlanta is cutting through the rhetoric and going straight to the source!  They have assembled a panel of Atlanta’s senior development talent from various industries and technology stacks to engage in an honest, straight forward conversation about what they look for and drives them when considering a prospective employer and/or future project.  The moderator for this event is Kyle Tothill, the co-founder and managing partner/director of eHire, who brings a unique perspective to this forum.  Kyle has been a leader in the talent acquisition space for almost 20 years and his organization is a huge supporter of several development user groups around town (e.g. Spring User Group, Atlanta Big Data Users Group, Atlanta User Experience Group, Geek Warriors, etc.).

A sampling of the questions will include:

  • What is a key motivator when applying for or responding to a new career opportunity?
  • How important is the technology stack?
  • How heavy do you weigh remote capabilities and flexible hours in your decision making process?
  • What additional value-adds are you looking for in an organization (continued education, community involvement, etc.)?

Software Development Professionals have a tremendous number of opportunities to choose from and several things they will primarily consider before putting themselves in a position to choose their next place of employment.  AITP is excited to provide a direct window into the “wants” and “desires” of this highly sought after group of technical talent.  (If you have specific questions you would like to ask the panel, please email Steven Wright at vicepresident@aitpatlanta.org.)
