The BIG Story

Software giant Oracle Corp. revealed Tuesday it was moving its world headquarters to Nashville. The announcement was made by co-founder Larry Ellison while he was in Music City. More on the HQ move here.

Funding News

  • Orlando-based cybersecurity company ThreatLocker closed a $115 million in Series D funding round from existing investor General Atlantic, with participation from other major investors StepStone Group and the D. E. Shaw group. The startup, founded in 2017, will use the funds for global expansion.

  • Atlanta-based FinQuery, formerly LeaseQuery, a leading provider of AI-powered solutions built to efficiently manage companies’ largest areas of spend, announced a $25 million minority investment led by Periphas Capital and supported by Lavelle Capital. The funding will accelerate product innovation and support strategic M&A.

  • Miami-based SuperLogic, a blockchain-based  enterprise-grade loyalty system platform, raised a $7.6 million funding round from an impressive list of investors. Forbes has the details.

  • Pipedream, an underground logistics network that is focusing on revolutionizing delivery for consumers, announced a $13M funding round led by Starship Ventures, Myelin, and Cortado Ventures. Pipedream has been building its last-mile transportation system around Curiosity Lab at Peachtree Corners.

  • UGA Entrepreneurship Program’s Next Top Entrepreneur Competition gave out its top prizes last week, with pet mobility startup Pet Healthcare Innovations, Fire Truck Rentals, and KnoxBots taking home the top three spots, respectively.
