Meet Zoe Fox, the Community Curator at DeskHub, Buckhead’s newest entrepreneurial workspace. With a background in event planning and community building for nonprofits, Zoe is sure to bring a wealth of skills and enthuasium to the DeskHub community. Check out her profile below.
What’s your current role?
I am the new Community Curator at DeskHub. DeskHub is a community of entrepreneurs who want to collaborate and grow their business among their peers. At DeskHub we are less worried about the type of business you have, and more about ensuring you are part of a community of people that can relate to the entrepreneurial struggle and help each other succeed.
My role is to find and work with these entrepreneurial companies and people and engage them into our community as it grows. Whether through facilitating connections, putting together events, or just ensuring the environment is as conducive as possible to get their work done.
What was your previous role?
Previously, I planned events and helped build community for a nonprofit and transitioned into running technology operations for that same nonprofit. I am excited to take all I have learned in those roles and apply them to the DeskHub community.
What is the most exciting part of your new position?
I love a new challenge, and the opportunity to work with DeskHub to turn an amazing space into an amazing collaborative community was too good to pass up. I am excited about getting to meet new entrepreneurs and watching them grow.
Are you interested in startups?
I have always enjoyed being around smart and creative people, and startups offer those in abundance. For me, it is about being around passionate and energetic people who aspire to create something new. I have always admired people who have the courage to strike out on their own and pursue their dreams.
What tech/tools are essential to you?
The Venmo app makes it easy to transfer money, whether it is a concert ticket, dinner and drinks, or just getting reimbursed for expenses I incur running around for DeskHub. I love that you can pay or be paid by someone instantly.
