Regional event will award more than $600,000 in funding to Southeastern entrepreneurs

Applications are now open for the first Nashville Creator Awards serving the Eastern U.S., Puerto Rico and Ontario, CA. Launched last year, the Creator Awards is WeWork’s global initiative that puts millions of dollars in available awards up for grabs to individuals, businesses and organizations.

Since launching the program in March 2017, WeWork has received more than 9,000 application and provided more than $16 million to 173 winners. As these businesses are funded, WeWork estimates the creation of more than 170 jobs.

The Creator Awards are open to anyone, regardless of WeWork membership status. Applicants are invited to submit for an award in one of three categories: performing arts, non-profit and business venture.

Following a review process, finalists from the region will present live in front of a panel of judges at the Regional Semi-Final event taking place in Nashville on September 13 for the chance to win over $600K in prizes from WeWork. Winners will also present at the Global Finals in January 2019.

The Nashville Awards will also serve as and educational and professional networking event, with attendees having the opportunity to learn new skills in master classes, shop member products at a pop-up market and make connections at a job fair. In addition to the pitching, the evening will feature live musical performances and a celebration of the winners.

Applications for the Creator Awards are open here until July 20.
