Atlanta startups like SnapNurse, Stord, and PrizePicks have been a staple on the Inc. 5000 List, put out annually by the business magazine Inc. to rank the fastest-growing privately held companies in the US.
Now the City of Atlanta itself is on top of Inc. Magazine’s list. The City has been tagged to host the first ever independent Inc. Founders House experience.
Those who have attended SXSW in Austin will be familiar with the concept of the Inc. Founders House. The goal of an independent experience not tied to a specific conference is to provide an “exclusive place for founders to convene and engage with partner brands, activations and programming,” according to a press statement about the event.
The first-of-its-kind house is a founders-only spot designed exclusively for budding entrepreneurs in the city, as it will serve as an additional resource for founders in the city…or those who travel into the city for work.
Inc. Founders House: Atlanta is created in partnership with the Metro Atlanta Chamber. Programming for the House will be curated by Inc.

Inc. Founders House: Atlanta will officially launch at The Gathering Spot on May 10, which coincides with the end of National Small Business Week.
Alex Gonzalez, chief innovation and marketing officer at the Chamber, said that bringing the Founders House to the city is “indicative of our position as a top-tier global region.”

Hosting at The Gathering Spot is also a strategic move for the magazine.
The Gathering Spot, which was recently acquired by Atlanta-based Greenwood Bank, is a private membership club and central meeting location for Atlanta’s entrepreneurial community. Its physical location is in the North Yards Business Park in Atlanta, and has grown nationally with locations in Los Angeles and DC.
Ryan Wilson, co-founder and CEO of The Gathering Spot, said bringing the Inc. Founders House to Atlanta is a “defining” moment.
“Atlanta’s diversity reflects the spirit of the New Economy and is prime for founders of all backgrounds to make their mark,” Wilson added.
