The first world championship for the SMITE video game packed the 2,750 seat Cobb Energy Centre this weekend. The crowd was a sea of gaming enthusiasts eager to watch the Cognitive Prime team and Titan team battle it out to be the SMITE world champions. 78,000 viewers also tuned into the event’s live stream to see who would win the grand prize in the third largest e-sports prize pool ever. The American team, Cognitive Prime, took home the title and half of the $2.6 million prize pool. Check out this nice play-by-play of the final championship game.
