January’s Startup Village | Zypp, Craft Crawler, Wela, New Story, CarLingo

Atlanta’s largest monthly pitch event went down at Atlanta Tech Village Monday night and Hype was there to experience the awesome night along with 600+ guests. Special thanks to the MC, Jon Birdsong and Erin Rosintoski for putting it all together.

Zypp:

  • Allows users to choose predefined rehabilitation programs or customize own rehab programs

Craft Crawler

Wela

  • Digital financial advisory
  • Allows users to link multiple accounts to platform, see financial progress, and set goals
  • Gives users access to financial advisors who can answer questions and help set goals specific to individual situations
  • Combines traditional financial advisory with the digital world in a relatable, understandable, and engaging way

New Story

  • Pitch by Brett Hagler, co-founder
  • Check out our past coverage
  • Crowdfunding nonprofit organization that helps families in need after unexpected disasters
  • 100% of donations go directly to building homes
  • Connects donors to families; donors receive video of the family in their new home
  • Partners with local organizations in Haiti to find families
  • Provides jobs for Haitians as well by hiring local workers to build the houses

CarLingo

  • Makes the process of buying a new car easier by connecting consumers and dealers
  • Eliminates negotiation and margin pressure
  • Eliminates friction between consumers and dealers; does not favor either side
  • Utilizes third party data to guide consumers in decision making
