Monday “Fund” Day: Funding, M&A, and Southeast Startup News From The Week Of Jan 15

Our Monday “Fund” Day series can get you all caught up on the major startup headlines from last week…and get you prepped for all the important events and deadlines you need to know for your business:

Here’s what happened last week:

Funding Rounds 

QuantHub, a Birmingham, Alabama-based data training startup, closed a $3.6 million round last week, according to Crunchbase. Atlanta-based Gray Ventures led the round with participation from Florida Funders, a prolific venture firm in Tampa.

The startup had most recently raised a $1.3 million seed round in March of 2023. It is spending the early part of 2024 rolling out its Artificial Intelligence Internship Program out to high school students across the state. 

Adpipe, a fast-growing marketing technology startup based in Athens, Georgia, closed a $6 million Series A round from Atlanta Ventures and local investor Tom Noonan. You can watch the founder’s video announcement here or check out Hypepotamus’ reporting on the raise here.

 

M&A Activity 

Earlier this month FeatherPay, an Atlanta-based payments startup in the medical and dental space, announced it was acquired by iCoreConnect Inc. The Florida-based NASDAQ-listed software company focuses on streamlining healthcare communications while increasing workflow productivity and customer profitability.
