ABC World News Tonight found a family in Atlanta that were seeking tech savvy alternatives to buying a car and they contacted us to help. Check out the video.
Of course we told them about all of the fine ATL folks working to make car buying easier. Here’s a rundown of car focused tech companies in our own backyard:
- Carvana– Launched out of a company called DriveTime, Carvana is the first 100% online auto sales company. You have the ability to browse, finance, and even purchase your dream car online. Cofounded by Ernie Garcia, Jr., Ryan Keeton and Ben Huston.
- AutoTrader.com– The leading resource for car shoppers and sellers. The site aggregates millions of new, used and certified pre-owned cars from thousands of dealers and private sellers and provides expert articles and reviews. AutoTrader.com, which also operates the AutoTraderClassics.com auto marketing brand, is owned by Cox Automotive.
- Vinsnap– Early stage company that allows you to snap a picture or enter a vehicle’s identification number (VIN) to pull detailed vehicle information, current offers, and vehicle photos. Cofounded by Marc Hoecker and Chris Coad
- Garagistry– Provides classic car owners the tools to register their car , then organize and manage the documents, details and history within a private repository.
