by Klaire Wesolowski

Flashpoint works closely with founders to create better startups, faster. The accelerator is looking for founders with domain knowledge, startup experience, and a commitment to customer discovery to be apart of their upcoming cohort. Flashpoint’s alumni have attracted more than $150M in commitments from angels and investors and have a market cap of over $500M.

Flashpoint is open to all startups, but especially technology startups. Atlanta is a great place for e-commerce, internet security, materials, consumer health, medical devices, computing, robotics, financial transactions, and logistics. With connections to Georgia Tech and the Atlanta corporate community, the program is seeking teams that may strongly advantage by providing access to resources in these networks.

Flashpoint Details:
Flashpoint is an Atlanta-based, six month long program, divided into two parts, and ending in demo days in four cities. The first six weeks is a concentrated on-site program, usually involving three lectures or workshops per week, weekly critiqued team presentations, weekly office hours, and a weekly speaker series, in addition to numerous interactions with potential customers. The following 18 weeks includes ongoing lectures, workshops, and office hours, but can be conducted off-site. Innovation teams from larger companies work alongside startups in the same program, for example a Coca-Cola team was in the last cohort.
