Atlanta-based Eventeny Makes Festivals Possible During Pandemic And Beyond

Most companies spent the better part of early spring scrambling to get their meetings and events up on a virtual platform to comply with social distancing guidelines.

But for the Eventeny team, adding digital events was something already in the works when in-person events shut down.

“The virtual event build [for Eventeny] was a part of our product development plan, but we had to launch a bit earlier due to COVID-19,” co-founder Nausheen Punjani told Hypepotamus.

Now, the platform has helped over 800 event planners in three different countries, including those behind Atlanta’s Dragon Con, connect both in-person and virtually with their audience.

Eventeny works to streamline the management of vendor relations, volunteers, and sponsors for large events. In the digital space, their virtual platform helps track user and sponsor interactions while allowing vendors and artists to create their own booths.

“For our first virtual event, we were working with local artists/vendors and we wanted to make sure we give them the best highlight by showing off their work. Festival-goers were able to view videos of artists making their art and they were able to explore products built by artists,” said Punjani.

The City of Suwanee, Georgia will host their virtual festival on Eventeny this year.

Their first event, the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival, was up and running on the platform in just six days. Upcoming events on the platform include large metro Atlanta festivals such as Suwanee Fest, Kennesaw Beer & Wine Fest, and national events such as Comic Con Honolulu.

Other Southeastern-based event organizers are using the platform for everything from seminars to concert series.

Eventeny made a splash earlier this month by helping people virtually connect with artists and vendors at one of Atlanta’s largest festivals, Dragon Con.

For Punjani and the Eventeny team, digital events are not just a COVID trend. The team sees the need for hybrid in-person and virtual events only growing in the future in order for event coordinators to reach a wider audience base.

It makes sense for Atlanta to be home to many startups transforming how we interact with and connect to our favorite event series. As a city which hosts more large outdoor festivals and conventions than we can count, Eventeny is one of the companies looking to shape the event tech space growing in Atlanta.
