A New Era for Atlanta Startups: Hypepotamus + Atlanta Tech Village Announce Partnership

Hypepotamus celebrates the creation of the Atlanta Tech Village and congratulates David Cummings on this momentous occasion. By establishing a new community center for startups in Buckhead, David has set a remarkable standard for successful entrepreneurs to follow when it comes to reinvesting in the startup community.

The success of the Atlanta startup ecosystem is tied directly to our ability to collaborate and make each other stronger. In this spirt, we’re proud to announce a partnership between Atlanta Tech Village and Hypepotamus that will benefit the entire metro Atlanta startup community.

In early 2013, Hypepotamus will launch its media property to cover the Atlanta startup scene and roll out a calendar full of signature events that bring together students, designers, coders, entrepreneurs, investors, and storytellers. In addition to the events and programs we’ll host at Hypepotamus in The Biltmore on Tech Square, we’ll also bring the Hype to Buckhead – covering the great stories unfolding inside ATV and offering unique events and programs onsite at ATV.

It’s not everyday one of our own announces a $17 million investment in Atlanta startups. So let’s pop the cork on the proverbial champagne and toast the arrival of a new era. Great work, David Cummings. Now it’s up to all of us in Atlanta to build more great companies.
