We’re building software infrastructure to automate global trade.

We’re Building the Most Comprehensive Ocean Freight Visibility Platform

Today, nine out of ten people who manage containers still manually track shipments across carrier and terminal websites, then update spreadsheets by copy and paste.

Our Ocean Freight Visibility Platform gives shipping and container managers real-time tracking API’s and powerful, intuitive dashboards. It pulls container status and milestone events from every ocean carrier and US/Canada port or terminal, standardizes the data, and then pushes it to our customers—helping them automate their workflows, save time, and save money.

Our software and APIs are used by logistics tech startups, logistics service providers such as freight forwarders and customs brokers, trucking companies, cargo owners, and shippers.

Why Join Us?

We’re currently a team of seven, fully remote, and already profitable.

We’ve gone from zero to $2.5M ARR over the last 18 months and are growing rapidly (mostly inbound sales) at 20+% MoM.

We are about to raise our Series A, so it’s the perfect time to join and make an impact on our roadmap and company culture.

What You’ll Do

Integrations are the lifeblood of Terminal49. Over the next 1-2 years, we are expanding from dozens into the high hundreds. As an Integration Engineer, you will work closely with our co-founders Akshay and Matt. You’ll maintain all of our third party integrations. You will also proactively anticipate potential issues and take steps in advance to prevent or smooth out any impact to our users.

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll do things like:

  • Design and and help build a distributed, asynchronous pub/sub platform to horizontally scale our integrations efforts across services and developers
  • Build a service layer to enable load distribution and QOS reporting of our proxy vendors
  • Scrape websites with bot mitigations ranging from fingerprinting to custom puzzle captchas at scale

We provide our users with a clear and cohesive logistics picture—something that doesn’t exist elsewhere in this field. Every additional integration enables us to do this better. In this pivotal role, you’ll lay the foundation for our next stage of growth.
