Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Development to lead our sales efforts within the Southeastern Region of the United States. Responsibilities will include driving revenue growth through prospecting, strategic relationship building, and contract negotiations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in selling business-to-government (B2G) or business-to-business (B2B) solutions and a deep understanding of the procurement process within the public or private sector.

 

Salary

Base salary: $85K with first year projected earning potential of $150K

 

Key Responsibilities

Prospecting: Use industry knowledge and experience in the criminal justice and/or electronic monitoring industry to identify and prioritize potential clients and opportunities within an assigned territory. Leverage our internal lead system to quickly identify and engage in active opportunities.
Relationship Development: Build and nurture professional relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, agencies, and influencers, to establish individual trust and corporate credibility.
Data Mining and Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify key decision makers (Sheriffs, Clerks, DA’s Judges, State Departments etc.). Develop a strong understanding of the prospects’ needs and challenges, and tailor sales strategies accordingly.
Presentation Skills: Develop and deliver compelling presentations and pitches which highlights Talitrix’s value proposition, the solutions we provide, and how our offerings can best address the specific needs of the prospective and/or client.
Field Testing: Responsibility for coordinating field tests and demonstrations of our hardware and SaaS software products to showcase their effectiveness and suitability for achieving the client’s requirements.
Proposal Development: Responsible for leading the proposal effort. Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized proposals and solutions which meet the client’s objectives and align with their budget and timelines.
Deal Closure: Lead negotiations, overcome objections, and drive the sales process to successful closure, ensuring that all parties are aligned and satisfied with the terms of the agreement.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in arts or sciences
Minimum of five years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles, with a focus on selling B2G solutions
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
Deep understanding of the B2G sales cycle, procurement processes, and government contracting regulations
Strong network of contacts within the public sector and familiarity with relevant industry associations and events
GPS Monitoring knowledge and experience
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities and develop effective sales strategies
Results-oriented, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Travel will be required

Technical Skills

Salesforce (or other CRM)

Ability to troubleshoot basic PC issues at the user level
