StudentBridge is looking to hire a driven, experienced and proven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to continue our recent growth, scale the business and oversee our organization’s ongoing operations & procedures on a day-to-day basis.
The COO role is a key member of the senior management team. You will be the company’s second-in-command, reporting only to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Your primary stakeholders will be our customers, followed closely by our partners and our team.
You will optimize our company’s operating capabilities and be responsible for the efficiency of the business, setting the appropriate department goals to align to the company’s overarching goals, help department heads develop and implement tactics to attain those goals, collect and analyze results and suggest course correction as needed.
To ensure success you should have a clear understanding of our company’s core values and culture. You’ll have to maintain control of diverse business operations, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader. The mission of the COO position is to secure the functionality of the business, as we accelerate our transformation from custom agency to robust SaaS technology solution provider, driving extensive and sustainable growth.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
-Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures to steer the company’s future in a positive direction
-Driving the company’s operating capabilities to surpass customer satisfaction and retention, and company goals.
-Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
-Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
-Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of department heads (IT, Production, Marketing, Sales, Finance etc.)
-Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
-Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
-Write and submit timely reports to the CEO in all matters of importance
-Assist CEO in fundraising ventures
-Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)
-Manage relationships with partners/vendors
Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements

-Proven experience as Chief Operating Office or relevant role, in a growth stage company
-Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
-Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
-Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
-Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
-Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
-Outstanding verbal and written skills, and experience working with staff on all levels
-Ability to make business projections three years into the future
-BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus
-Experience in mergers and acquisitions is a plus
-Experience in SaaS based technology companies is a plus
-Experience in fundraising is a plus
-Experience in the education industry is a BIG PLUS!
