DevOps Engineer (multiple positions)

We have an immediate need for multiple DevOps Engineers to work directly for our client, a top innovative, Atlanta-based brand, due to explosive growth.  In this role, you will support and maintain their cloud-based services ensuring 99.99% availability.  Working side-by-side with the other technical teams, you will be responsible for the continuous delivery pipeline for peak efficiency.

Candidates will have the opportunity to work daily with an agile development team consisting of the key stakeholders in a collaborative manner.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain 5 nines availability for 24×7 cloud-based SaaS solutions
• Solidly perform against all new product features to satisfy operations requirements
• Develop expertise in all features and functionality of products offered
• Develop expertise in existing infrastructure and application architecture
• Partner with the development team to develop robust, scalable solutions
• Develop and implement automation solutions for build, test, deployment, and configuration management
• Provide operational and status reports and dashboards

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience supporting enterprise or commercial applications
• Experience with Linux system administration and tuning
• Experience utilizing multiple virtualization tools and techniques
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• An advocate of build, test, deployment, and configuration automation
• Experience deploying and operating applications in AWS

Required Technical Capabilities:

• Skilled in the configuration and deployment of containerized instances with technologies such as Docker, ECS
• Experience in the automation of dev-test-build pipelines using tools such as Chef, Puppet, Jenkins
• Experience monitoring system checks for health, load, performance, etc.
• Ability to maintain high load, high volume Java web applications

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant software-focused degree
