The Network and Systems Engineer will be responsible for the stable operation of the entire network and server infrastructure. This responsibility spans multiple data centers and operational environments. We are looking for a candidate who has an interest in emerging technologies, a solid foundation in security, hands-on experience with data center architecture and experience monitoring, scaling and automating.

Essential Duties:

Install, configure and manage enterprise-class firewalls and switches.
Responsible for overall network and systems architecture.
Management of IDS/IPS and other active security systems.
Administration, maintenance, support and optimization of Windows servers.
Continuous monitoring to ensure security, stability, performance and overall infrastructure health.
Support and maintain Microsoft Active Directory.
Create and maintain automation scripts using Windows PowerShell (and other relevant languages).
Monitor and ensure security compliance per PCI and our company policies.
Lead our response to security incidents and the implementation of countermeasures.
Research and evaluate new technologies.
Proactive management to ensure maximum availability and compliance with our SLAs.

Preferred Skills:

Hands-on experience designing, deploying and operating multi-datacenter networks.
Experience with enterprise-class firewalls, routers, switches and VPNs (IPSEC, SSL).
Expert-level competency in IP routing/switching technologies and protocols.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals, including HTTP, HTTPS, SNMP, SMTP, FTP, NTP, and DNS.
Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working with DFS, or other federation/synchronization tools.
Proficiency in supporting Ubiquiti/ Juniper network switches.
Microsoft Windows 7/10 and Windows Server 2012+ administration.
Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience working with Google Apps, Azure and AWS cloud environments.
A simple, stable, redundant architectural philosophy.

This role involves 24/7 support (as necessary), and may require after-hours and weekend work.
