The Role: 

We are looking for a Junior Systems Administrator. You will join a team responsible for the availability, reliability, architecture, security and day-to-day operations of our SaaS environment – spanning multiple datacenters and countries.

In this role you will be expected to assist in daily operations, contribute to projects, answer questions from IT Support Technicians, keep least privileged security practices in mind, and troubleshoot outages all while contributing to the team as well as working independently. We are actively expanding into Europe and into other parts of the world. We are looking for talented and hard working  individuals who could assist in our growing environment.  Key Responsibilities:

Windows Server installation, configuration, and administration
Management of IP addresses, Domains, DNS
Continuous monitoring and response to threats, performance, and health
Research and analyze potential new threats, attack vectors, and risks and implement proactive mitigations
24×7 On-Call rotation to support resolution of acute issues
SSL certificate management
Patching of servers and network equipment
An understanding of networking principles
Knowledge of security best practices
Knowledge of PCI best practices and ability to assist with audits
Produce and maintain relevant documentation including run-books, processes, and diagrams
Desire to learn and take on challenging tasks and projects
Strong communication skills and ability to provide substantial updates to task and project stakeholders
Ability to stay organized with work and communicate accurate timelines
Independently prioritize most important tasks
Strong analytical skills
Team oriented attitude
 

The candidate should have experience working with these technologies:

Windows Server (AD and Group Policy)
DNS
Servers (Supermicro)
Virtualization (ESXi, Hyper-V)
Understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals, including HTTP, HTTPS, SNMP, SFTP, SMB

These additional qualifications would be preferred:

2-5 years in a IT/technology role
Some scripting experience in Powershell, Python, or others
Bachelor’s degree in CS/CIS or equivalent work experience
