SimplePart is searching for a driven, innovative technical product manager who will champion development and operational delivery of our technical projects. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing our portfolio of products–evaluating where they are in their lifecycle, benchmarking them against the market, researching and planning implementation of new features, and monitoring their performance.
You’ll work closely with internal teams to understand stakeholder requirements and constraints, collaborating with them to ensure delivery of business requirements while keeping the technical roadmap in check and moving forward. You’re a product person at heart, so identifying, prioritizing, and championing product opportunities comes as second nature to you. You know how to rally all the right people together to make things happen, but you also know how to deal with roadblocks, escalate appropriately, and build consensus across the building.

Responsibilities + duties:
Evaluate, scope, and prioritize product requirements based on needs of internal and external stakeholders
Facilitate and manage technical road mapping, including managing and advising on project timelines, and sequencing for best tactical implementation
Conduct exploratory work with bugs and translate them into user stories and requirements
Maintain a balance between business requirements and technical implementation in advising and planning projects and product work, assessing technical risk and technical debt that may need to be addressed for work to be completed
Work closely with development team, design team, architects, QA and operations to adapt business requirements into technical work while contextualizing and communicating business value
Collaborate with business teams to ensure that sprints meet business needs and timelines
Maintain a deep understanding of how the technical product impacts internal teams, external clients, and our end users
Understand and measure user needs, relative to how those needs have been met (or not)
Understand and track where features are in their own lifecycle
Define success criteria for QA and product acceptance
Act as the internal subject matter expert for technical products, ensuring creation and maintenance of internal product documentation
BS in computer science, CIS, or engineering or related business degree and technology
2+ years’ experience in being a great communicator cross-functionally and internally
2+ years’ experience working with B2B or B2C technical products
Coding knowledge in ASP.NET & SQL based environments
Ideally, expertise in program and app development at a SaaS or e-commerce business
Proven ability to work effectively with internal and technical teams, specifically in
Influencing others, without needing to rely on formal authority
Simplifying complexity and translate technical concepts to non-tech audiences
Communicating with and achieving alignment with technical partners
Experience prioritizing and adapting under pressure – from both internal and external sources
Familiarity with project management software (bonus points for experience using Azure DevOps and/or Asana)
