Senior Solutions Consultant

Join us on the ground floor as our second Solutions Consultant!

As part of the Customer Solutions team, you will contribute to the success of PorterLogic’s ‘low-code Supply Chain Operations platform focused on Warehouse and Inventory Management that is being implemented at a variety of new customers throughout the US. Customer industries could include eCommerce, Retail, CPG, Food & Beverage, Health & Beauty etc. You’ll be an integral part of our success in delighting customers. You’ll play a critical role in taking our company to the next level and you’ll be rewarded with meaningful Equity. The sky’s the limit as far as growth and advancement, and you will be one of the first in line to move up the ladder!

Day in the Life:

Please Note: You do not have to have experience with everything listed below, so long as you possess the aptitude and willingness to continue learning. Many of these functions will take place after you gain knowledge and training on PorterLogic’s solutions and specific internal processes. The weighted percentages of the various functions can also shift in the future depending upon your experience, desires and growth path.

Configuration [60%]
Translate design requirements into system configuration. This primarily includes building workflows using PorterLogic’s proprietary low-code application platform
Work with other PorterLogic customer solutions team members and client team to identify system requirements and then configure PorterLogic to those specifications using our visual workflows and low-code UI editors
Work with APIs and testing these using Postman
Write complex SQL queries that are critical to the configuration of PorterLogic

Solution Demo Support [15%]
Assist with pre-sales functions in tandem with PorterLogic Account Executives to build and execute custom solution demos for prospective customers
Comfortable speaking with prospects during discovery phase to understand use case in more detail and sort through demo data
Assist with designing demos / proof of concept solutions and configuration of workflows to accomplish a demo for a prospect
Assist in building other internal demos (e.g. base flows to show customers in early sales meetings), as well as other internal flows

Testing [10%]
Support customer onboardings by executing test plans and identifying / debugging issues that are discovered
Identification of test scenarios based on design requirements (this is NOT the same as writing test scripts and involves significantly much less busy work compared to writing test scripts)
Communicate with client team regarding client-side testing results
Assist clients with troubleshooting issues

Support [10%]
Assist with supporting PorterLogic’s existing live customers with troubleshooting any issues. This typically includes building out additional features / workflows when customers require assistance
Test and validate other issues and new feature releases. This includes debugging if needed (e.g. reading logs, research in source code if comfortable)
Build customer trainings based on design documents. Work with customer end users on training when appropriate

Design [5%] (this aspect can grow in the future)
Assist other PorterLogic customer solutions team members with designing solutions per customer business requirements, including writing design documents
Ideally will grow into being able to take on more design work in the future.
Will initially own design for smaller projects than can take on larger
projects

Travel

Might average 20 to 25%
This could include travel to client sites for Kick off and Go lives

Growth Opportunities
Can quickly grow into a Lead Consultant role, leading new client projects including Design work

Ideal Background and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or any other Engineering-oriented discipline
2 to 3 years of post-college work experience in a supply chain technology company

Experience with WMS or Order Management Solutions
Strong SQL skills (you will write many complex SQL queries)
Experience working with / basic understanding of how to interact with APIs
Experience with Postman (for testing API’s)
Exposure to Python or VBA (a plus / not required)
