Innovation and Opportunity Across Georgia
Serving within the Research Faculty of The Institute, this position directly supports the extension, service, and economic development missions of Georgia Tech to the State of Georgia. Primarily this role is responsible for overseeing the advancement of all student engagement efforts for the Partnership for Inclusive Innovation. The Partnership for Inclusive Innovation (PIN) is a public-private partnership that launched in 2020 to lead coordinated, statewide efforts to position Georgia as the Technology Capital of the East Coast. Dedicated to advancing technology, opportunity, and shared economic success across the state, the main pillars of PIN focus on community research, student engagement, workforce development, and economic opportunity. The PIN student engagement pillar serves to develop a more inclusive Georgia through the development of next generation leaders across the state through public service, innovation/technology programming, experiential learning, and mentorship. Through oversight of the Smart Community Corps Intern Program (https://pingeorgia.org/apply-1/), this role will actively coalesce multidisciplinary students at multiple universities to work with faculty on various PIN projects that aim to transform communities throughout Georgia.
