Flashtract is looking for a Sales Development Representative to help assist the sales team as the company looks to grow and bring on new customers. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to join a passionate and driven team during an exciting time of growth. This role will be responsible for engaging and qualifying potential customers at the top of the sales funnel. This role is one of the first touch points for prospects and has the opportunity to set the tone for the sales cycle following. Your role will also include generating interest in the Flashtract product and having conversations with potential prospects to understand their current challenges and positioning Flashtract as a solution.

The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about understanding our potential customers problems and using a consultative selling approach to propose solutions. This individual needs to be high energy and enjoy spending time talking on the phone. Flashtract is selling into an industry that has a low technical IQ, so the ability to clearly communicate the value proposition is paramount. Lastly, since this role will be engaging with prospects early in the sales cycle, candidates need to be comfortable handling objections and thinking quickly on their feet.

What you will be doing:

  • Developing sales strategies to draw in potential buyers or to solicit new potential customers
  • Initiating contact with potential customers through cold-calling and other outbound sales channels
  • Creating relationships with potential customers to identify their pain points and qualify their interest and viability to drive sales
  • Presenting product information to potential customer once you have identified their needs and moving qualified leads through the sales funnel and connecting them with account executives and arranging next steps
  • Collaborate with sales leaders to ensure company goals and targets are met

Requirements:

  • Strong and professional communication skills — written, verbal, presentation
  • Capability of understanding customer pain points, requirements and correlating potential business to value that can be provided by Flashtract
  • Proven business development success through effective use of core sales tools: CRM, LinkedIn, Google Apps, Microsoft Office, Data intelligence solutions, and Sales engagement tools
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work with a team
  • Promotes a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables. Acts without being told what to do. Brings new ideas to the company
  • Contributes fully to the team effort and plays an integral part in the smooth running of teams without necessarily taking the lead
  • Drive, Grit, Team Oriented: strong desire to compete and win
  • Handles objections and thinks quickly on their feet
  • Aptitude to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently, while achieving production goals
  • 1 year+ relevant SaaS selling experience

Within the first month, you will:

  • Understand high-level construction billing and payment challenges
  • Spend time familiarizing yourself with the application and how users interact with our software to find value
  • Begin learning sales process, scheduling, and account handoff
  • Shadow existing sales development representatives and sale leaders to hear sales conversations at each stage of the sales pipeline
  • Role play conversations with supervisors to learn common objections and how to handle them
  • Start making cold calls to potential prospects to hear customer challenges and common rebuttals
  • Participate in culture building activities and build relationships within different teams across the company

Within the first 3 months, you will:

  • Become an expert in the challenges that potential prospects face and how our customer use our application to solve these problems
  • Be comfortable handling common objections and steering the conversation forward to next steps
  • Be able to call on cold accounts and discuss current challenges and position Flashtract as a solution
  • Begin setting next steps and moving prospects through the sales funnel to account executives

Within the first 6 months, you will:

  • Consistently achieve monthly quotas for demo’s set
  • Propose solutions for more effective prospecting
  • Master Flashtract sales process and tools
  • Begin coaching/mentoring new hires on your role
