Mission of the Senior Product Designer

The mission of a Senior Product Designer at Airship is to design functional & beautiful user interfaces across a variety of devices and technologies. You will achieve this mission as a part of Airship’s product teams consisting of Product Management, Development, and QA collaborating to deliver value that meets our client’s needs. You will design for consumer-facing web & mobile apps and enterprise software products for a variety of industries. Creativity, efficiency, and attention to detail are key as well as a hunger to learn.

Quickly understand and simplify complexity
Take in a lot of information and boil it down into actionable requirements
Adapt your approach based on incoming information
Envision and communicate new user experiences in ways that can
Gain traction within cross-functional teams
Result in buy-in from client stakeholders
Act independently as a design thinker and leader on your assigned products
Balance quality and speed with finesse

As a Product Designer, you will…
Brainstorm, pitch, and architect solutions that resolve user and business problems.
Collaborate with internal teams to define user interface requirements.
Regularly, provide guidance and leadership for information architecture, user interactions, light content, page layouts, and visual styling of a product’s UI.
Create deliverables such as graphics, presentation materials, brand & social material, wire-flows, wireframes, clickable prototypes, comps/hi-fis, and more.
Design across many mediums including web and mobile apps, native apps, games, and wearables.
Work across multiple product teams to deliver impact, on time and on budget, each sprint.
Stay up-to-date with design and product standards.
Demonstrate thought leadership and promote Airship publicly as a leader in Product Design.

Requirements
4-7 years of experience as a Product Designer for enterprise and consumer-facing digital experiences
3-5 years in agency setting directly presenting work to clients
Experience working directly with developers
Experience with agile methodology
Experience with Figma is not a requirement but a plus
