South Downtown is an often overlooked area of Atlanta that’s full of history as well as potential. The Center for Civic Innovation and Code For Atlanta are partnering up to kick off a long-term effort to shape the future of the neighborhood at CodeAcross Atlanta.
This is a rare opportunity to help revitalize a neighborhood at the perfect moment.
How you can help:
Folks with all sorts of skills, not just coders, are needed in order to tell the story of South Downtown’s historic past and promising future. How can you make the neighborhood’s revitalization a truly participatory process?
Be sure to RSVP and check out the details below:

About Code for Atlanta:
Code for Atlanta is a group full of civic-minded technologists, designers, and topic experts using their skills to improve Atlanta and the world.
Want more info? Join Code for Atlanta on the last Tuesday of every month at 7 PM at the Atlanta Tech Village for a Monthly Hack Night.
Code for Atlanta hack nights are all about getting stuff done. They start off by learning about civic projects attendees have brought, then divide into small groups to get to work. They also organize a few general interest groups for brainstorming new projects.
If you have an established project to work on or if you’d like to lead an interest group brainstorm, join and RSVP.
This month’s event will also feature a brief Civic Hacking 101 session to introduce new attendees to the broader civic hacking movement and recap the group’s recent history here in Atlanta along with pizza and soda.
