Urban League Young Pros Present “The New Black Wall Street” Bootcamp and Pitch Competition

by Angela King

These Young Pros are Empowering Young Entrepreneurs to be the Best!

As part of National Day of Empowerment (a program of the National Urban League), The Urban League of Greater Atlanta (ULGA) Young Professionals will host its 8th annual Entrepreneur Bootcamp, “The New Black Wall Street”, November 18th. This is a unique opportunity for those looking to expand their knowledge to gain access to experienced and proven insight on launching a business. The key takeaways will encompass aspects of starting and maintaining a successful business through the lens of social conscious.

The over-arching goal for this year’s event is to educate all entrepreneurs on how to approach business development — how to start, develop and grow a successful enterprise.

And there’s more! Pitch to win!

Within the Bootcamp, ULGAYP will also host a pitch competition with a focus on startups with a social conscious — now accepting applications! Startups and small business owners will compete for a cash prize by completing a 5-minute business pitch.

Please note that in order to participate, your business must align with National Urban League’s Four Empowerment Goals — Education, Jobs, Housing, and Health. The company must also have raised less than $1 million in outside capital and majority stake must be owned by a minority founder. To apply, complete the application no later than Thursday, November 16th at 11:59pm Eastern.

Entrepreneur Bootcamp will be held Saturday, November 18th at Tech Square Labs. Register here!
