The Global Design Challenge, brought to you by Biomimicry Institute and the Ray C. Anderson Foundation, is now open. Have an awesome idea to address critical sustainability issues? Submit your commercially viable, nature-inspired solutions to the challenges facing our global food system for a shot at a grand prize of $100,000.
Registration is open to students and independent professionals and submissions are due August 3.
How does it work?
Beginning in October, top biometric design concepts will be chosen and awarded seed money. With the support of mentors, these finalists will complete their functional prototypes and return in May 2016 to compete for the $100,000 “Ray of Hope” grand prize.
