All Great Ventures Begin with Great Ideas | Georgia Tech Hosts Ideas to Serve Competition

Ideas to Serve (I2S), presented by the Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship at Scheller College of Business at Georgia Tech, is a competition of ideas where creativity, imagination, and technology are applied to solving social and/or environmental problems.

Entries might focus on reducing poverty, alleviating hunger, promoting health and wellness, improving air and water quality, reducing of the rate of depletion of natural resources, developing alternate sources of energy or any other way to better the world. The competition hopes that these ideas will lead to sustainable “triple bottom line” organizations that are able to generate income to sustain their missions.

I2S competitors are all Georgia Tech students that stand to gain mentoring, access to a network of local social entrepreneurs and impact investors who serve as judges, and prize money. There is an early-stage Ideas track, as well as the later-stage Advanced track. In addition to the main winner, there is also a $500 “People’s Choice” prize awarded based on audience votes.

Why should you come?

The interactive poster showcase gives attendees a chance to engage directly with young social entrepreneurs.
