Supporting Failure in Atlanta… the FUN Way!
FuckUp Nights (FUN), a global movement born to share business failure stories, is closing out 2017 with some FUN, Food, and a fundraiser. Since its inception here in Atlanta, hundreds of people have come out to each event to hear entrepreneurs, innovators, and community leaders share their story. Each storyteller is given seven minutes to tell their tale and reveal lessons learned. After each speaker, there’s a Q&A session and time for networking.
This FuckUp Night is going to be a little different. FUN Atlanta is teaming up with WeWork for a holiday fundraiser — 100 percent of the proceeds go towards The Empty Stockings Fund, a non-profit that provides low-income parents and guardians the opportunity to give their children gifts during the holidays. And, to help ring in that true holiday spirit, attendees are asked to wear the ugliest sweater in your closet (yes, that one). FUN Atlanta will also be collecting toys and new kids clothes for ESF as well — so bring out all the stops!
Don’t worry, you’ll still get lessons learned from failure stories of four of Atlanta’s ballsiest, risk-taking entrepreneurs (and the free beer). The ugliest sweater will win a free hot-desk for a month at WeWork! See you December 14th.
