Julia Levy is the Founder of WhyWeGive.co, a community for ordinary philanthropists to share stories online and create conversation offline. She has worked in philanthropy for over ten years. Julia holds a Certificate in Fundraising from NYU’s Heyman Center for Philanthropy and an undergraduate degree from Cornell University. Born and raised in Virginia Highlands, Lara works to leverage the power of businesses for good as the Corporate Partnerships Manager at Hands On Atlanta. After graduating cum laude from Goucher College, Lara served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mongolia and worked for NGO’s in Cambodia. Upon returning to Atlanta, Lara founded Skylight Consulting, a firm providing evaluation, fundraising and strategy services for nonprofits. Lara is a graduate of Emory University’s Master’s in Development Practice program and a co-founder of digital publication Gather Good.

Amy has more than two decades of helping non-profits maximize their impact via improved strategy, marketing and fundraising. She is currently the Interim Executive Director of The Giving Kitchen and Founder of Next Stage Advisors. Previously, she was a leader at Share Our Strength No Kid Hungry, a national nonprofit. In 2017, Amy authored The A-to-Z Guide to Event Fundraising. She holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Connecticut, a MBA from Brenau University, is a Certified Fundraising Executive, Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Les Dames d’Escoffier International-Atlanta where she has held the VP of Philanthropy position.

Founder and Executive DirectorCenter for Civic Innovation

Rohit Malhotra is the Founder and Executive Director of the Center for Civic Innovation in Atlanta, his hometown city. His background is in social entrepreneurship, digital communications, open data and community organizing. Most recently, he served as an Ash Innovation Fellow in the White House Office of Management and Budget, focused on the administration’s efforts around social impact bonds and pay for performance. In 2015, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, where he is the youngest serving member in recent history. Rohit was named as one of Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 30 Under 30 and in June 2015, he was awarded the prestigious Echoing Green Global Fellowship. Rohit earned his B.A. from Emory University and Master in Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Rohit is a self-appointed expert on pizza and hip hop.

Kuan has led online fundraiser/user experience and direct marketing at CARE, an international humanitarian NGO, and now explores how digital technology can positively impact its field work. A lifelong itinerant, Kuan has worked as an agribusiness researcher in Zambia, helped launch a new brand of condoms in Egypt and led luxury tour groups around China. He holds an MBA from Yale and two engineering degrees from UC Berkeley.
