Conference season is behind us and vacation season is upon us.  This month we are slowing things down and highlighting the top tech events in July, that will help you relax and have some fun in the sun.  Let’s get into it!

Summer Cookout

If you missed Atlanta Tech Park’s first summer cook out in June, not to worry because they are hosting a second cook out for  members, family, and friends in July.  There will be good food, cool beverages and the entire tech community.   Join your fellow tech friends, July 25.  And don’t forget your sunscreen and business cards!

Southern-Fried Gaming Expo

Gamers, this one is for you!  The Southern-Fried Gaming Expo is a 3-day expo with more than 300 arcade & pinball machines, dozens of new & retro console systems, a massive tabletop library, RPGs, wrestling, music, tournaments, a vendor expo, exciting panel sessions, guest speakers, and so much more.  Atlanta has earned its place in the hearts of arcade, pinball, and tabletop enthusiasts with the Southern-Fried Gaming Expo and this year, they are celebrating 10 years.  The event kicks off July 28-30.  Register here!

Vintage Computer Festival Southeast

If gaming isn’t really your thing, then you may want to check out the Vintage Computer Festival on July 28-30.  Come hear first-hand accounts of events in computer history and view computers from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. This family friendly event is for all  – Computer geeks, families/children, students, collectors, IT professionals, curious onlookers and everyone in between.  Register for the event here!

Startup School School

Have an idea? Do you crave to build something? Atlanta Tech Village is hosting a 10-week summer session, each Tuesday this summer, for a semester of Startup Summer School. Learn from the best in the industry about what it looks like to start your own company and how to do it well.  The good news about this flexible program is that there is no recommended progression path so you do not need to attend each session.  Startup Summer School ends on August 15.  Register here.

Creative Tech Expo

Here is an event for the makers!  The Creative Tech Expo is connecting individuals across various backgrounds through the revolution of maker, mobile, internet/gaming, and robotic technologies. From tech demos, to special giveaways, this event will provide attendees with an immersive tech experience.  The event will be July 16. Register here!
