Wondering how you can kickoff the holiday season?
Giving back to the community is a mission that Hype share with Community Bucket, and we are excited to celebrate the final ATL Tech Gives Back of 2018!
For any newcomers, ATL Tech Gives Back is a quarterly service event for anyone who works (or aspires to work) in the tech or startup ecosystem. By participating, not only will you make a difference in the community, but you will do so while working alongside your friends and peers.
The event will be held the morning of November 8th from 1 to 4 p.m., followed by a happy hour with drinks and appetizers to celebrate your hard work.
Coming together for a common purpose!
For this event, we will return to some of the same non-profits from September to give you a chance to have an even deeper impact and see your work flourish.
Here’s a quick look at the project partners:
- Park Pride: This group has been maintaining and beautifying Atlanta’s numerous parks for decades, using an efficient distributed model of neighborhood “Friends of the Park” groups who can take pride in their own community assets. Volunteers will work in one of the parks on trash cleanup, invasives removal, and other intense yet fun tasks!
- Global Growers: Lend a hand in the gardens and learn about all the crops grown on this impressive site for refugee farmers in Decatur.
- MedShare: This warehouse collects unused medical supplies headed for the landfills and ships them to hospitals around the world in need. Volunteers help sort, pack and ship thousands of pounds of supplies.
- Wylde Center: Head out to Sugar Creek Farm in Oakhurst, a mainstay of organic community gardening. Help with activities such as mulching, weeding, planting — and learn a thing or two about growing food.
Rally your teammates, call up some colleagues or just come alone.
Pay it forward, it’s worth it! Register here.
