Calling all startups: The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) is now accepting applications for its Venture Showcase.
The ATDC Venture Showcase, which is held in key cities around the United States, is an initiative launched by ATDC in partnership with Aprio, DLA Piper, the Metro Atlanta Chamber, Silicon Valley Bank, and Venture Atlanta to help local founders meet investors outside of the Atlanta area. Since launching the Venture Showcase in 2017, participating startups have seen great success. The portfolio companies, which include notable startups such as Sideqik, Stackfolio and RoadSync, have raised over $100 million in equity, grants and debt.
ATDC is now gearing up to host its next Venture Showcase September 29 – October 1.
Virtual Showcase
Due to the pandemic, ATDC has changed the format of its venture showcase. Instead of an in person event, ATDC will host a virtual showcase. ATDC and its partners will host a startup showcase and 1:1 meetings with venture capitalists who invest primarily in health care technology companies.
Deadline
To be eligible, applicants must be a Georgia-headquartered healthcare technology company intending to raise a Series A or higher in the next 12 months. 12 Georgia-based tech startups will be selected and notified in late August. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on August 21.
Celebrating its 40th year this year, ATDC has grown to become one of the longest running and most successful university-affiliated incubators in the United States. Its graduate startup companies have raised $3 billion in investment financing and generated more than $12 billion in revenue in the state of Georgia. In fact, 90 percent of ATDC portfolio companies remain in operation five years after graduation.
