Gwinnett’s Amazing Entrepreneur Contest

The Amazing Entrepreneur Business Plan contest is underway! If you have a business in Gwinnett that’s three years old or less, or you’re a Gwinnettian with a good business idea, then this is the place for you. There’s no entry fee, and you can download a business plan form to fill out and submit to the contest. You could walk away with some cash to fund your startup or some great prizes.

Applicants will be judged based on the quality of the business plan summary and the business’s market viability.

How to enter:

If you are entering the Established Business category, please submit:

  1. Business Plan Summary Form
  2. Contest Entry Form
  3. Financials Form
  4. A copy of your Business License
  5. Proof of business age (Sole proprietors: a bank statement documenting the opening of a business bank account; Corporations: articles of incorporation; partnerships: partnership agreement)

If you are entering the Pre-Venture category, submit only:

  1. Business Plan Summary Form
  2. Contest Entry Form
  3. Financials Form
  4. Proof of Gwinnett County residency (copy of driver’s license or other official document showing address)

Finalists in both categories will be required to do an oral presentationto a Selection Committee, which will select the category grand prize winner. All finalists will be eligible to attend a workshop on how to prepare your content and oral presentation delivery.

The Annual Amazing Entrepreneur Business Plan Competition is an initiative by Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development and The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to foster new business development in Gwinnett County.
