Super Service for the Super Bowl: Website Building Charity Event Calls for Non-Profits, Participants

Non-profits spend all of their time doing good, but 48in48 wants to help them look good, too. In honor of Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, the annual service event is hosting a special “Super Service” event the weekend before the big game.

48in48, sponsored nationally by Delta, recruits technology and digital marketing professionals to build 48 websites for 48 non-profits — all in 48 hours. They have held five annual events in Atlanta, and expanded to Indiana, Boston, New York, North Carolina, and even across the pond to London. In the years since inception, 48in48 has built more than 700 websites with a total impact exceeding $19 million.

Centered around a 48-hour hackathon on January 25 – 27, Super Service 48in48 will place a special focus on sports-related non-profits, though any organization is welcome to apply to receive website-building and other services. The value of donated services is approximately $25,000.

Helping the helpers in the community

Included in the Super Service event is an Impact Lab, to teach non-profit leaders about utilizing their new website and developing a digital marketing strategy. Sponsors enjoy a Blue Carpet VIP event Saturday night, with special guests including NFL Players, executives from participating corporations, and government officials. A special guest speaker will close out the weekend.

Before the main event, each non-profit will take part in 6-10 weeks of marketing, branding, and impact training. If you are a nonprofit interested in participating, submit your application here.

The organization is actively seeking volunteers and sponsors. Local professionals can apply to volunteer here.
