Man, oh man, oh man! What a time, what a time!

This weekend we played host to Atlanta’s first 3 Day Startup Weekend. This 48-hour energy drink-fueled intense weekend program gave 55 college students from seven different local colleges and universities the chance to develop their startup muscles.

These guys and gals did a great job and pitched some interesting ventures including a delivery cake service and a nonprofit where kids create cartoons. Ten teams made it to the finish line and were able to pitch their concepts and prototypes to the four judge panel.

But the madness didn’t end there. The Startup Bus Southeast on the way from Florida heading to SXSW swung through and got to see some of the pitches before they headed over to Cypress Street Pint & Plate. Before the evening ended, the 3 Day Startup folks decided to join the meme and shot their own Harlem shake video. Be on the look out for that. Hype the Hippo is in it as well as some people doing some crazy stuff.
