WeWork Expands Metro Atlanta Foothold With New Decatur and Midtown Locations

As many traditional offices stay closed for the foreseeable future, co-working spaces are still betting big that Atlantans are looking for WFH alternatives this fall.

Today WeWork announced the opening of two additional Atlanta office spaces inside the Perimeter.

Downtown Decatur

A look inside WeWork’s new Decatur location

In partnership with the City of Decatur, WeWork is opening its inaugural Decatur location at 120 West Trinity Place, close to the downtown Decatur Square. While the City of Decatur and WeWork announced plans for the location in 2019, it is a unique opportunity to see how many employees in the Decatur area might be searching for work space outside of makeshift home offices.

“Decatur welcomes WeWork to our growing office community with open arms,” Decatur Mayor Patti Garrett said in a statement. “With its flexible, innovative workspaces for entrepreneurs and companies of all sizes, WeWork is certainly a great fit for our city.”

WeWork is kicking off their launch into Decatur with a month of full access, free of charge, to those interested in checking out the space during the month of October. Information on the October Open House can be found here.

Midtown Atlanta

WeWork is also expanding its Atlanta presence with its new Peachtree location. Opening in The Boundary building on 17th, the newest WeWork Midtown location joins a pair of other WeWork locations dotting Midtown Atlanta’s streets.

The new Midtown location is also offering a free month for those interested in exploring and working in the space.

New cleaning guidelines are being implemented across WeWork locations.

Both locations will implement enhanced cleaning and sanitizing procedures in response to the coronavirus pandemic.  Offices and hot desks that have become the standard at co-working spaces will be available, but modified layouts are being implemented to ensure members and visitors stay safe.
