Networking events have transformed over the last year and a half, but that isn’t stopping the momentum over at Network Under 40 (NU40).
The team just announced it has been acquired by Meeting of the Minds, a private membership community for high-growth entrepreneurs also based in Atlanta, Georgia. Meeting of the Minds is run by Jared Kleinert.
NU40, founded in 2011 by Emory alum Darrah Brustein, has chapters in various cities to help connect young professionals through meaningful networking experiences. Throughout 2020 and 2021, NU40 has continued with its signature ‘Lunch and a Lead’ events to help participants build new business contacts.
Network Under 40 will remain an independent brand under Meeting of the Minds ownership, and day-to-day management will be led by Natalie Parker, who has served as Director of Operations since 2017.
Parker told Hypepotamus that the last few years have “been a pleasure getting to work with so many businesses and individuals in Atlanta AND throughout the US who are genuinely there to support one another and help other businesses in their communities grow.”
As NU40 remains an independent brand, Parker said people can expect more frequent global virtual events, new inclusively-priced membership offerings, and hopefully a return to in-person events in the near future.
“We believe the success of your business (and the quality of your life) is a direct result of the people you meet and how much you learn from them,” says Kleinert. “We are thrilled to explore the connections between these well-respected communities and invest in growing the reach of Network Under 40. Darrah has built a tremendous network over the last decade, and we’re grateful to shepherd the brand’s values and vision for a long time to come.”
