International Big Data Week is a week long series of independently hosted events organized as a platform to educate, inform and inspire a global community of data scientists, business executives, technologists, data visualizers and data businesses spanning major commercial, financial, social and technological sectors.
- The festival, taking place across the world on May 5-11, 2014, connects a number of global cities through locally hosted meetups, events, panels, networking functions, demos, debates, discussions and hackathons. Attendees are encouraged to attend relevant sessions throughout the week, and tweet using the global hashtag #bdw14.
