ATL Tech Gives Back

Be the change you wish to see in the world

Atlanta Tech Gives Back… is back! This quarterly service event is perfect for anyone who works (or aspires to work) in technology or at a startup, and who wants to help make their city just a little bit better.

Throwback Thursday

There are a number of afternoon service projects to choose from, followed up with a happy hour for all the volunteers to celebrate their good deeds.

Here’s a quick look at the project partners:

  • Grant Park Conservancy: The Grant Park Conservancy recognizes the importance of usable, friendly, clean, safe, well-maintained green space in the urban environment and works to provide a public space in which the city can take great pride.
  • MedShare: This warehouse collects unused medical supplies headed for the landfills and ships them to hospitals around the world in need. Volunteers help sort, pack and ship thousands of pounds of supplies.
  • Wylde Center: Head out to Sugar Creek Farm in Oakhurst, a mainstay of organic community gardening. Help with activities such as mulching, weeding, planting — and learn a thing or two about growing food.
