stable | kernel, a mobile app development consultancy in Atlanta helping corporations and startups alike, has grown tremendously and recently moved their hip new digs within a skip and a step from the BeltLine. Not only did we tour their new space, we also sat down with Joe Conway, CEO, and Sarah Woodward, Director of Business Development, to chat about their blossoming success over the past two-plus years.
“Our goal is to grow strategically. We don’t exactly know the happy medium, but we look forward to seeing how we can continue to expand while also staying unique,” said Conway. “We’ve been bringing on new developers and a marketing & PR Specialist to help us continue towards that path. We love hiring people who can jump in with the hunger and drive to tackle the different projects we are working on.”
From what we’ve seen, stable | kernel is practicing what they preach – fostering each employee’s growth, while also providing them with a cool environment where folks want to work. “We treat each person here as an equal contributor, regardless of their role,” chimes in Woodward. “Everyone is focused on the goal of growing stable | kernel. They are invested in the success of the company and it shows through the work we do. It’s a second family here at work.”
The team also completed a recent survey of nearly 500 mobile developers to provide insights into managing and working with development teams – and the results they uncovered were beyond intriguing. “One of the most interesting results of the survey was that 80% of developers aren’t working in or trained for the IoT environment,” said Conway. “Not everyone is doing this yet and it’s the next frontier.”
As one of the pioneers working in the world of IoT, we look forward to seeing how stable | kernel continues to make strides in the development community. “We love Atlanta, it’s laid back with a blend of cultures immersed throughout the city’s beautiful surroundings. There is so much growth in technology here, with businesses bringing real value to people.”
stable | kernel is looking for talented iOS and Android Developers. If you think you’ve got what it takes be sure to apply.
