Kevy (@teamkevy) is a local software company that helps businesses connect and synchronize data from all of their cloud-based applications. Many businesses rely on a portfolio of applications for ecommerce, customer relationship management (CRM), e-mail marketing and human resources and Kevy helps to integrate all of them and produce cohesive analytics.
We checked in with Ed Trimble (@edtrimble), Kevy’s president and co-founder, to find out more about this prospering startup.
Your Pitch:
Kevy is a cloud app integration software company. We make it incredibly simple for companies to connect their cloud apps and synchronize data across CRM, Email, Marketing Automation, eCommerce, Social, Financial, Customer Support, and other cloud apps.
Owners:
Kevy was co-founded by David Cummings and Ed Trimble.
Location:
Atlanta Tech Village
Employees:
17
Founded:
October 2012
Funded or Bootstrapped:
Bootstrapped
Price of Service:
Kevy integrations start at $100/month. The price increases based on the amount of data synced. There is no contract — customers make a month-to-month commitment.
What Customers Get:
Customers get synchronization of data between two cloud apps on a set schedule — daily to as often as every 5 minutes. Customers are able to specify which objects and fields to sync and are able to define down to a field-level whether the data moves in one direction or both directions (bi-directional).
How’d You Get The Idea For It:
David Cummings came up with the idea for Kevy as his former company, Pardot, struggled to provide all the integrations that their customers were seeking. With Kevy, our cloud partners can focus on their core product while Kevy focused on extending their product with a network of supported integrations.
Collaboration Tools & Processes You Use:
Kevy has a well established set of tools and processes to make sure we are working effectively as a team. We use Github as a collaboration and code management system. We use Salesforce.com and Pardot for our sales and marketing activities. We use Google Drive for collaborative file management. Every day we have a 15 minute stand-up check-in where each team member gives an update on their top 3 accomplishments of the previous day and top 3 tasks for the day ahead. Our product team works in 2 week sprints. Each Monday we have an extended status meeting where we review all closed, in-progress and open issues in Github.
What’s Unique About Your Company Culture:
We embrace 3 core values: Postive, Supportive and Self-Initiative. We carefully screen for these in all our new hires. We have a very open work environment. David Cummings and Ed Trimble sit side-by-side with the team in a large open space. We have a lot of perks that our employees enjoy: a team lunch and an Atlanta Tech Village (ATV) sponsored lunch each week; organic food delivery; quarterly team outings; a generous annual training allocation; and Beats headphones for all new hires!
What You Need Most Right Now:
We’re aggressively hiring in our sales organization. We’re looking for several inside sales execs: 1-4 years sales experience, positive, supportive, and highly motivated. If you or someone you know is interested, please visit our listings at http://kevy.theresumator.com/apply/
